About Our Strawberries

Beerenberg grows its strawberries to pass stringent taste and quality tests. The strawberries used in all products are the same fresh fruit visitors can see and pick at the farm.

Only ripe fruit is picked. Many supermarkets extend shelf life by selling strawberries picked when semi-ripe. This fruit never ripens to full flavour, and can often be disappointing to taste.

Beerenberg only uses plump berries with no soft spots, bruises or white or green around the stem.  At present, 100% of our strawberries are of the 'Albion' variety.

Only ripe fruit with full flavour is used in all products.
