SPICY BEEF BURGERS

Ingredients:

For the patties:

  • 600g beef mince
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ grated Parmesan
  • ¼ cup Beerenberg Balsamic Beetroot Relish
  • ¼ cup Beerenberg Caramelised Onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoon rice bran oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

For the Burgers:

  • 4 burger buns
  • Beerenberg Bavarian Mustard
  • butter lettuce leaves
  • sliced dill gherkins
  • vintage cheddar slices
  • fresh tomato slices

Method:

In a mixing bowl combine all patty ingredients apart from the oil. Combine throughly, cover and refrigerate for 30minutes.

With wet hands portion the burgers into 4 equal amounts and shape into patties.

Heat oil in a heavy based frying pan. Cook off patties at a medium heat, browning both sides. Approximately 5 minutes each side.

Put aside and let rest for 5 minutes.

Lightly toast burger buns. Smear base of bun with Beerenberg Bavarian Mustard and place vintage cheddar onto the bun. Grill until melted. Add patty, tomato, lettuce and gherkins to finish burgers. Goes wonderfully with Beerenberg Tomato Sauce.

BEEF SLIDERS WITH CHEDDAR CHEESE AND BALSAMIC BEETROOT YOGHURT

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons Greek yoghurt
  • 3 tablespoons Beerenberg Balsamic Beetroot Relish
  • 2 beef patties, approximately 150g each
  • 2 teaspoons cooking oil
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 slider buns or dinner rolls, cut in half
  • big handful mixed lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Method:

In a small bowl, mix together the Greek yoghurt and Beerenberg Balsamic Beetroot Relish.

To make the slider patties, divide each burger patty into three.  Roll each piece into a ball before flattening to about 1cm thick.

Heat a large frypan over medium heat and add the oil and slider patties.  Cook for 3 minutes or until beginning to char.  Flip the patties and top each one with a slice of cheese.  Cook for another 3 minutes before removing from the heat.

In each slider bun lay some mixed lettuce leaves and a slice of tomato. Top with the beef patty and cheese, and a big spoon of Beerenberg Balsamic Beetroot Relish and yoghurt mixture.

INSTAGRAM BURGERS

Saturday night delight from @lownslowbasics who put some @drakessupermarkets brisket mince to good use.

2x @smokypasturesbbq "Risk It" seasoned patties with their "Sweet Dreams" bacon, onion, burger cheese, pickles, mustard and @beerenbergfarm Sweet Chilli relish in between a brioche.

This one is from @the_traditional_plate in Sydney.

This HALLOUMI BURGER is giving us all the feels right now. The delicious buffalo milk #halloumi from @olympuscheese paired so well with the age old smoked ham, pumpkin & maple butter! The roasted pumpkin made the flavour. This gluten free halloumi burger, which can also be enjoyed without the ham for a #vegetarian option.

Lunch, dinner, on the go or a healthier weekend takeaway alternative we love this by @thefamilyfoodie_au *CHAR-GRILLED CHICKEN BURGERS* These homemade chicken burgers are super simple and a very regular addition to the weekly dinner menu. We often have these on the weekend when I want a quick, easy and healthy takeaway alternative. (Serves 6)

Ingredients:

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Moroccan spice
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun spice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 individual Turkish breads

Additional Salad Options:

Mayonnaise • Avocado • Sliced cheese • Beetroot •Dill cucumbers • Mixed lettuce • Cucumber • Tomato • Jalapeño • Relish

Always include a selection of @beerenbergfarm relishes like beetroot relish, caramelised onion, or Taka Tala chutney.

Method:

Take each chicken breast, remove the tenderloin if there is one, cut each breast into 3 thin fillets by slicing the breasts horizontally. Cut these fillets in half. You should end up with a number of palm sized thin fillets that will cook nicely and quickly on a chargrill.

In a non reactive dish add the fillets and tenderloins, the spices, lemon juice and oil. Mix to fully coat and leave to marinade at least 30 mins or as long as you can.

While the chicken is marinating slice and prepare your salad ingredients ready to assemble the burgers.

Heat oven to about 160 degrees and place Turkish breads in the oven for about 10 mins to warm through.

Heat a large grill pan on high heat and cook chicken pieces for approx 4-5 minutes each side till cooked through.

Once chicken has cooked and Turkish breads are warmed through assemble the burgers with salad ingredients of your choice.

@natural_smoke_australia

They smoked up some brisket breakfast burgers! It looks so delicious we just had to share. Hands up who wants to lick the screen.

Brisket mince was formed into a patty and smoked indirectly in the weber kettle with some cherry wood and charcoal, seasoned with some @brzfood_au Then some hash browns and cheese were added to the party.

Combine that with some burger sauce, pickle and @beerenbergfarm caramelised red onion and you get a tasty little burger.
