There’s nothing like the taste of freshly picked strawberries. It’s hard to describe the juiciness and flavours – you won’t get it from any supermarket! And there’s no better day out with the family than hunting through our patch to find the perfect strawberry.
We’ve been running pickings at our farm since 1975, and never missed a season. It’s become an Adelaide institution during the warmer months, usually from November to April.
Always check the homepage of our website to make sure we're open before coming, because sometimes (particularly on weekends), we are so busy that we simply get what we call "picked out". All the ripe berries have been picked and the plants need time for their green, young fruit to ripen. So we close the patch for a few days here and there to allow this to happen.
A patch closure can also happen if we get a long spell of hot weather and the berries suffer and we need time for new fruit to grow. Having said that, we are open most days through the season, so we look forward to welcoming you really soon!
Check our website on the day you intend to visit to make sure that our patch is open. Sometimes we need to close it during the day, so check before you leave home!
Go to the Farm Shop. Pay $5/person (12 years and under are free). You will be given a wristband and picking containers.
Follow the red flag to the strawberry patch. Enter the patch and pick to your heart's content. Post pics of your visit to the farm this summer with hashtag #PickMeBeerenberg for the chance to win a delicious box of Beerenberg goodies!
Go back to the farm shop and pay for the strawberries you pick ($10.95/kg).
We're open 7 days a week (closed Christmas Day).
