For the patties:
For the Burgers:
In a mixing bowl combine all patty ingredients apart from the oil. Combine throughly, cover and refrigerate for 30minutes.
With wet hands portion the burgers into 4 equal amounts and shape into patties.
Heat oil in a heavy based frying pan. Cook off patties at a medium heat, browning both sides. Approximately 5 minutes each side.
Put aside and let rest for 5 minutes.
Lightly toast burger buns. Smear base of bun with Beerenberg Bavarian Mustard and place vintage cheddar onto the bun. Grill until melted. Add patty, tomato, lettuce and gherkins to finish burgers. Goes wonderfully with Beerenberg Tomato Sauce.
